Night Lights

Apple Tree

Our apple tree is gone.
A wind
has it.
The willow too.
Wind, wind
white wind.

Say we'll grow another
just as good.
Say the willow
will spring up again.

Say that I can lie
on your heart
all our lives,
that the willow can

spring up again,
braid its limbs around the apple tree's,
weep a merry fruit
all night,

all night
white wind.
